A lesson in faith

Today the girls and I were outside playing in the driveway. I was sitting in a beach chair and noticed a caterpillar right next to me. It looked half dead (some of its guts were out already) but I still pointed it out to the girls. They said, "Ya, we already saw it. I think we ran it over". I poked it a few times to see if maybe there was a chance it would still be alive and it was motionless. Nevertheless, we all sat and stared at it for a while and just enjoyed the fact that we had found it (it is always cool to find fun bugs). Suddenly Dolly says, "We should pray for it. If we take it to the doctor, it will take long for it to get better. But if we pray for it, God can heal it right now." I was so amazed at her great faith and really didn't know how to respond. So, honestly doubting that God would heal the caterpillar and not wanting the kids to be disappointed I said, "You are right! God can do it right now. He may not want the caterpillar ...

Lincoln's first week

Lincoln is here!!

It has been 2 years!

Well, it has been two years since I last posted on here and I thought it was about time to start this up again, for myself, my family, and close friends. It is hard to believe that Mia is two already but we just celebrated her second birthday last week! She is growing up to be an adorable and hilarious little lady. Dolly says that "Mia is the funny one in our family" and I have to agree. She keeps everyone looking at the bright side of things and definitely keeps us laughing. Dalia also turned four this month and we celebrated in Palm Springs with our family and her Sunday School friends and their parents (it was all her idea, by the way). She is developing to be and incredibly creative and confident girl, who may be too smart and crafty for her own good sometimes! She definitely keeps Leo and I on our toes and constantly reevaluating our parenting. Sophia is going to be 6 in November and growing up fast. She continues to be disciplined and organized...

Our newest addition!! Welcome Mia!
